My election focus

Local Government isn’t “sexy” and it’s certainly not a “razz-matazz” role - but it affects all of us, right in our pockets.
Rates keep rising. This adds to inflation, increases the cost of living, and makes it harder to run a business, or even just live here in the Waikato. It’s time for a change in how our Regional Council operates.
My focus will be on:
Running Council efficiently and reducing costs—so rates can come down
Reforming Local Government with real checks and balances
Pushing back on Central Government dumping unfunded mandates on ratepayers
RMA reform that gives equal weighting to Social, Environmental, and Economic outcomes
Better drainage, flood protection, and durable infrastructure
Strong, science-backed environmental protection
Equitable rollout of PC1 with flexibility in land use
Exceptional governance and real accountability
Building a united “Waikato Inc.” vision for our region’s future
Let’s stop doing “more of the same” and start making a real difference for Waihou and the wider Waikato.
Vote Keith – Waihou Constituency
